Jack Temmer came in and threw two really good innings. Jack allowed one hit and struck out one, as well. Also of note in this game was Ryan Gunter’s effort behind the plate. He did a very nice job with both pitchers.
There wasn’t much offense for the Lancers in this game. We were only able to total 5 hits in the 7 innings of play.
The Lancers went 3-2 this week and now stand at 4-3 on the season. A lot of promising things have happened on the field, including 5 really well-pitched games this week. The Lancers will hope to get the offense going as the season continues.
We have a light week this week, only playing 2 games. We will welcome the Granite City Warriors to Lancer Stadium on Monday and then Madison East (Wisconsin) is traveling down for a game on Thursday.
